The Windows Media Player for audio and video files is available free of charge from the Windows Media Technologies Download Centre.
To download the player,
- Click on the link above to access the site.
- In the Select download dropdown, select Windows Media Player.
- In the Select version dropdown menu, select the version for your computer operating system - Windows, Mac, etc. (or scroll down the page and select from the list).
- In the Select language dropdown menu, select the language required.
- Click on the Download now button to initiate a transfer to your PC.
The player must then be installed on your computer before it can be used.
